Doug Aitchison SR.   1933 - 2023

The Auld Reid hockey tournament passes this along to all the teams that attend our tournament each year and teams that used to come to our tournament.

Doug was a main force in coordinating and contacting participating
Auld Reid Tournament teams and their reps for over 40 years.

He met so many great team contacts and made friends with most of them.

Every year Doug would be at the front stats desk to greet the contacts as they arrived for the Tournament.  Everyone who met Doug respected him and
we sure appreciated what he did for this tournament.

Doug was a family man as well as a great athlete and teacher at high schools
in Niagara Falls. He was a Phys Ed teacher and a coach to many
championship Football and Basketball teams.

All his team members and students respected him at school and for years
to come after they left to start their journey in the world.

Doug was a long time member of the Skylon Oldtimer's Hockey Team,
now known as the Mick & Angelo's Prehistorics.

Doug was an outstanding Fastball Player. He excelled in Centre Field as
well as at bat. He was a great competitor in all sports he played

This tough competitor he was, helped him fight right to the end.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and teammates.

He will not be forgotten by so many of us and our entire community

RIP dear friend.
